Detailed below is a brief outline
of the events planned for 2008. Further details will follow as each
event approaches, so watch the web site for these. The training

you or someone you know could speak on any of these subjects. We
would also welcome further input from you about the subjects you

Your speaker:
Dr. Michael Levi has degrees from Oxford, Cambridge and Southampton Universities and has been Professor of Criminology at Cardiff University since 1991. He has been conducting international research on white-collar and organised crime, corruption and money laundering since 1972, and has published widely on these subjects as well as editing major journals. Recent public roles include membership of the Cabinet Office steering group on proceeds of crime; Scientific Expert on Organised Crime to the Council of Europe; and Parliamentary Specialist Adviser to a review of policing and anti-social behaviour in Wales.
The venue:
Situated overlooking the River Thames in the City of London, the Little Ship Club is primarily a sailing club with its focus on cruising and socialising. Its members are a diverse, international group but all share a common passion: a love of the sea and sailing. The Dining Room provides a beautiful environment to wine and dine while overlooking the River Thames. Large windows give views to Southwark Bridge.
The Occasion:
This should be an enjoyable social event - at which members, non-members and their guests are all welcome – an occasion to meet other professionals in a relaxed environment. It will also be the last UK event before the summer break. Why not make up a table of 10 with friends and colleagues?

Bond Solon Investigators in Commercial Organisations Conference
The Old Sessions House Clerkenwell Green London EC1
Crime against business in increasing but organisations themselves are having to bear the brunt of investigating this crime. A thorough and proper investigation is essential. This conference will support you in conducting such an investigation.
Bond Solon has been training in the field of investigation for over ten years and our speaker TBients have told us the problems investigators face. We have specifically designed the conference as a practical day for investigators within commercial organisations to deal with the important issues of taking a matter to prosecution, how to avoid an employment tribunal where possible, dealing with civil recovery or a combination of all three. We have designed the day to be as practical as possible and chosen specialist speakers who have been briefed to focus on useful pointers for you to take away to implement in your workplace. We have avoided sponsored speakers who in many conferences turn talks into sales pitches.
The speakers are all practicing professionals in the areas important to you and have been briefed to give useful real life pointers to improve your investigations. You will learn how to work with the various parties as well as getting up to date with current best practise and future trends. Speakers include top specialist barristers, Adrian Maxwell, Edmund Lawson QC and Nazir Afzal OBE of the CPS as well as top practitioners from commercial organisations.
I attach an early bird booking form with further details. Bookings received before 21 April are priced at £225 plus vat and there is further discount for bookings of more than four people.
Do call Adam Millward on 020 7253 7053 to book now.
